Welcome to Asbury

We are excited about a bold new vision that is underway here at Asbury, where the Holy Spirit is at work in our lives and in our neighborhood. Like most churches we have a public vision statement:

We envision a community in love with God, one another, and our neighbors, evidenced through the transformation of ourselves and our neighborhood.

However, the mission, vision and strategy of Asbury can be represented in a single catch phrase: CONNECTING NEIGHBORS

We strive to connect our neighbors to God, to each other, to our shared earth and to each person’s created purpose. Our vision is a revitalized community where every resident can use their talents and passions for the common good, where children grow into citizens who contribute to building and maintaining a vibrant neighborhood, and all residents are able to enjoy safety, good health, a culture that fosters life-long learning and satisfying lives.

Our strategy begins and ends with the Word of God as lived out in our homes, our jobs, our play time and the streets of our neighborhood. We are a neighborhood church that is open to everyone. If you are looking for a place to experience God in our midst; if you are tired of churches that just talk, but never act; if you want to be a part of a community of faith that believes that the vitality of our neighborhood is critical to our own well being – we hope that you will join us.
