The Lord said to me, “Go down to the potter’s house, where I will give you my message.” So I went there and saw the potter working at his wheel. Whenever a piece of pottery turned out imperfect, he would take the clay and make it into something else.

- Read about the potter in Jeremiah 18:1-12. Try to imagine yourself as a lump of clay and God sitting at the wheel shaping you. What kind of clay are you? Are you obstinate or pliable? Can you handle a lot of heat or do you crack under pressure? In what ways is God reshaping you?
- Read this week’s article titled Mud pottery. Are you familiar with Job? In what ways do you identify with Job? What questions do you have for God regarding your situation? Can you tie together the themes from Jeremiah and Job for yourself? In what ways is God answering you? Is God silent? Share how you are coping?
- How can the members of your group help you this week and on-going to help you to be more receptive to hearing and understanding the Word of God? Pray for each other to have the Holy Spirit bless you with more courage.
