- Read the story of Jesus’ parents finding the boy in the temple talking to the Torah experts in Luke 2:41-52. Can you place yourself in this story? In what way? Are you the missing child or the frantic parent? Was Jesus listening or teaching? Or Both?
- Read this week’s articles titled Missing. When have you felt abandoned by someone close to you when their attention focused on someone you don’t know? What was your reaction to the other person? When you think of Jesus are you able to picture Him as a person? When you read the story of His parents finding Jesus in the temple discussing scripture with the religious teachers, which attributes of a twelve year-old stay remain part your image? Explain how you balance His human versus His divine attributes.
- How can the members of your group help you this week and on-going to help you to be more receptive to hearing and understanding the Word of God? Pray for each other to have the Holy Spirit bless you with more courage.
