What to Expect
The following are the most frequently asked questions that we receive. If you have questions that aren’t answered here, please contact us!
Is there parking available?
There is a parking lot on the West side of our building with spaces for persons with mobility challenges available close to the main doors.
How should I dress? Can I wear Jeans to church?
Absolutely. Come as you are. Most of us dress casually but some dress up. We worship in a space that we consider to be holy but it is also a space that belongs to a God who lived homeless and had fellowship and meals even with folks like us.
What is worship music like at Asbury?
The Asbury community is diverse in age, socioeconomics, ethnicity, culture and our worship when we are at our best reflects our diversity. Our 9:30 am service features hymns accompanied by piano or organ and our a choir. Our 11:00 am service features contemporary praise music.
What are sermons like at Asbury?
Rev Tommy prefers to call his sermons “Teachings” which better reflects his informal style and our use of thematic series on topics that matter a great deal for Christians in today’s world. You can anticipate our messages to be engaging and challenging. You can listen to past teachings on our website.
What if I have mobility challenges?
Persons can be dropped off in front of the main doors under the canopy at the Southwest entrance. Also, there is parking available for persons with mobility challenges close to the main doors. Enter through the main doors under the canopy to utilize the elevator from the ground floor. The Sanctuary is on the 1st floor and there is a handicap accessible restroom located between the elevator and the sanctuary. There are no steps involved and room for powered scooters or wheelchairs.
